Gigabit GPON terminal for high-speed fiber-to-the-home connections with remote management support.
The TP-Link XZ000-G6 is an advanced gigabit XPON terminal designed for deployment in GPON networks at end customers. The device supports speeds of up to 2.488 Gbps downstream and 1.244 Gbps upstream and complies with the ITU G.984 Class B+ standard. The terminal is ideal for Internet service providers who want to offer their customers high-speed optical connections.
The device operates in bridge mode and supports advanced features such as Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation (DBA), Forward Error Correction (FEC) for both upstream and downstream, and up to 16 T-CONTs and 256 GEM ports. Remote management is provided via the OMCI protocol, which greatly simplifies device activation, configuration, and management.
Optical parameters and range
The terminal uses a DFB laser for transmission at a wavelength of 1310 nm and a PIN-TIA receiver for reception at 1490 nm. The receiver sensitivity reaches up to -27 dBm for both GPON and EPON, with a saturation power of -8 dBm for GPON and -3 dBm for EPON.
Network protocols and compatibility
The device supports IPv4 and IPv6 protocols, IGMP v1/v2/v3 for multicast services, and 802.1Q VLAN tagging. Authentication is based on a serial number and password with automatic VLAN detection.
Advanced features
The terminal offers optical power detection, Dying Gasp signaling in case of power failure, and Terminal Silent Mechanism for network traffic optimization.
