Advanced networking features
The switch supports RSTP (802.1w), MSTP (802.1s) with 8 instances, PVST+ and RPVST+ with up to 126 instances for redundancy. Link aggregation (LACP 802.3ad) allows creation of up to 4 groups with 8 ports. IGMP snooping v1/2/3 optimizes multicast traffic for 255 groups.
Management and automation
Supports Cisco Network Plug and Play for automatic deployment, Auto Smartports for automatic configuration based on connected devices (CDP/LLDP-MED), DHCP relay, SNTP for time synchronization, and Syslog for centralized logging. Configuration can be backed up via TFTP or securely via SCP/SSH.
Monitoring and diagnostics
Built-in RMON agent supports 4 groups (history, statistics, alarms, events). Port mirroring allows mirroring up to 4 source ports to 1 destination, VLAN mirroring up to 4 VLANs. Cable diagnostics detects cable issues, loopback detection protects against loops.
